It's been a long time since I watched this movie, but it's the one that started with the flashback of Little Peter playing hide and seek with his father, right? Or at least wandering into the guy's office while playing. So… why wasn't Little Harry there? It would have set up the childhood friend thing, badaboom. 🤷

I cannot agree with anyone who says Maguire's spiderman is better.
Maguire never developed. They did the same movie 3 times of Peter's a loser, someone in his life does something accidental that makes em a villain with a split personality, mary jane and peter on and off relationship, mary jane captured, villain does something to kill himself.
Maguire never matures, never gets smarter, no nerd has ever been so hyperbolically "doy, my books fell over"- and his trilogy takes place over like 5 years.
Maguire's trilogy is built of stereotypes who never change. Peter Parker is so opposite of spiderman- and not in a batman begins deceiving facade way- that you cant buy him as both. He's an okay peter for a high school level, anything beyond that he doesnt develop, and he's not a good spiderman.
All i find solid in trilogy is the flowing narrative and villain set ups.
I'm not particularly fond of garfield, but atleast he develops and tries.
Neither are accurate peter parkers. Thank god for Tom Holland.

  • comment-avatar

    Electro is yellow and green!!

  • comment-avatar

I had absolutely no problem with the movie at all. Entertaining from the beginning to the end. And that scene you are talking about, the boy next to me was crying a waterfall.

  • comment-avatar

I was so happy when Gwen died. None of that movie felt real to me, so when he didn't manage to save her it was this moment of "THEY FINALLY DID SOMETHING REALISTIC" and I couldn't mourn her at all

  • comment-avatar

i feelt sad for Max/Electro in this movie

  • comment-avatar

When they did the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" in dubstep, I thought that was the highlight of the movie

I thought it was a good movie, not great, but a good a bit of guilty fun. The things I didn't like were all of the things you mentioned. Max Dillon was to Spiderman in this movie as Edward Nigma was to Batman in Batman Forever: overly obsessed fanboys who become disillusioned when their heroes do not live up to their exacting standards, cliche. Though I did like Electro. I also agree that I cannot get into Andrew's "Peter Parker", his Spider-Man is fun…but his Peter is awkward and moody (not that I blame Andrew for that). And yes, this movie suffers greatly from Spider-Man 3 syndrome- too much happening plot-wise in this movie. I wish they had drawn out the relationship between Peter and Harry over two movies at least. At least with the mystery of Peter's parents out of the way and his getting over Gwen's death (I actually did cry at that) we might get a better, less moody Peter. I also love Aunt May, she is my favorite Aunt May, but that's because I adore Sally Field.

this movie is okay, I liked the action , Gwen was really good in this movie. I like this Spiderman better than the original, the action is really done well , better than the original. I wasn't really bothered by the rhino in this movie because I never really cared for the character of the rhino. green goblin was kinda wasted in this movie, electro was cool to watch during the fight scenes. this is by far way better than Spiderman 3 . venom was terrible there was nothing good about venom in Spiderman 3 , venom is my favorite Spiderman villian and to see him only have so little screen time and have a poor design makes me hate this film
    .

  • comment-avatar

This movie was bad, Peter's parents story was too involved and wasn't good even in part 1. Parker is just a mopey emo kid, a few of his scenes feel like music videos. Goblin looked and acted terrible with lame rushed motives. They were really trying to set up Sinister 6 too much.

This movie is the reason marvel got some of the rights back, you know it's bad when guardians of the galexy outdoes it.

I really loved this movie , but i do agree with the fact that it was crammed .

  • comment-avatar

I hope that spiderman homecoming is a reboot of supaidâman (Japanese Spiderman)

  • comment-avatar

I actually kind of like it

  • comment-avatar

But seriously why didn't they just split up the plots then we could've gotten my most anticipated movie aunt may origin story

  • comment-avatar

I hated when Harry became the Green Goblin, like you said it just "happened"… think about this: He gets in the suit while everything is going "red alert" style, and the door to the suit just opens alone! No button, no trigger… It just opens for Harry to get in (While the building is on an emergency state… so NO DOORS SHOULD OPEN WITH NO REASON).

Action scenes are fun, they're the only good thing about the movie… and how to fix Spider-Man movies? Get him out of school for christ's sake -.-
