Thank you these are good tips for me wanting to be a good strong Admin.

I can’t do the fifth tip lol. I’m not willing to look for more work…at my workplace lol

High energy is misconstrued especially in the field of HR. My favourite part is when you’re looking to hire a hr generalist and they say they have a bachelor or arts in HR. Just ask them about laws specific to your state and let the hilariousness ensue. Those with an arts degree do not have a background in law unlike the science version. I’ve had particularly good luck with those and the bsba when looking for HR.

What about someone who can spell?

what about 10 interviews and learning all the family members in your household

  • comment-avatar

You are so dashing and confident 🙂

  • comment-avatar

4 interviews? Lmao it's not that serious. one would think you were paying $40 an hour.

The administration is a big part of an organization. The department is critical to the growth and success of the company. Without it, they will be all over the place I tell you.

  • comment-avatar

This is a video for people who already graduated to become an administrator…. just a heads up.

    Thanks..great content!

He's cute! If I was the HM, he'd be hired in a second lololol

We need to get paid more. I am fed up of all the work, even working off hours for miserable pay. So I only do what I need until they understand we are underpaid!!

My advice for aspiring admins watching this video – strive to be your own boss and skip the whole admin assistant role. Do work for yourself, not someone else. I've done admin work for 4 years and it's degrading because I feel like I'm being used by people for their own gains. I want to be my own boss and I would tell everyone to do that. I felt a better sense of importance when I worked as a server in a restaurant because all my colleagues and I worked together (even if we were working for a company and not ourselves) but at least I had people on the same level as me. Now go do things for yourself, not others 🙂

This is a bit much and I know I'm an excellent exec.

I love the comments put on this page. So true everyone. Well done. This guy is unbeleivable if he thinks U will go to 4 rounds of interviews to be an admin assistant……..My advise to all the job seekers out there is if U need to upskill and can't afford a course then number of NORMAL and polite trainers can show U some basics for free on Youtube. The ones I have watched the people R really pleasant to listen to and useful. Unlike this guy they give practical advise as the more skills U have then the easier it will be for everyone………Good luck everyone.

OMG, really. Most "executives" have NO IDEA what administrative work entails or the time needed to pull off a project or make recommendations on systems. Administrative work is NOT one person's job. Emphasis on ASSISTANT. There are tiers and levels of support – if you can only hire someone junior, they are task oriented. If you want a proper EA, get ready to pay and she'll change your life. If details are not your strong point, at least ATTEMPT to build awareness around the work you're asking people to do and try to do some of this yourself. If you follow this bad advice, good luck keeping your staff, you'll never have continuity and loyalty. This Number 5. Pull activities – makes you sound like a total rookie. The words to use are: proactive in systems and process…not Pulling Work, WTH. So tired of everyone and their dog thinking they can be an executive. This is a mid-management nightmare of entitlement. People need to learn to work with EAs and administrative professionals, you don't just dump them with your lack of awareness or skill.

So pretty much kiss ass? No thank you I'll stick to my back breaking blue collar work, also lol at 4 rounds of interviews for a dead end admin position wtf?

  • comment-avatar

Good info. But slowing the process may be counterproductive as you might lose highly efficient folks. I think 2 rounds of interviews is enough.
