Hi guys, mine is always like below: anything you do in twrp always prompting like that on the log.

    E: Unable to mount ‘/system’

    E: Unable to mount ‘/cache’

    E: Unable to mount ‘/data’

    E: Unable to mount ‘/protect_f’

    E: Unable to mount ‘/protect_s’

I can’t remove my pattern lock inside cause my mobile is stuck on logo startup when I try to turn it on. I can only access my phone thru TWRP.

Please help… I love this phone, I want to fix it at all means..

    Thank you so much..

The Data partition on most modern Moto devices (and maybe others) is formatted in f2fs. Changing it to ext4 may end up hard bricking some of them.

Thanks big time! Gotten this phone (S§) for my roommate/ friend as his first smartphone and was encountering this things after rooting. Gotten it run with mounting error, but he managed to "break" all the time and getting this encryption errors for as he said no reason. Set ext4 to ext3 (older flash memory, older scrypts) and TADAAAA, all is running fine now, no crashes, no errors.
