omggg finally!! thank youu so much! it works for me!! 🙂
BTW: instead of copying and pasting the entire path (which replaces all your environment variables)
add a semi-colon ";" at the end of your last current path, then paste it. or else you'll f-ck up your computer lol. for example:
    "C:ProgramDataOracleJavajavapath;C:Program Files (x86)AMD APPbinx86_64;C:Program Files (x86)AMD APPbinx86" (before adding the adb path)

after: "C:ProgramDataOracleJavajavapath;C:Program Files (x86)AMD APPbinx86_64;C:Program Files (x86)AMD APPbinx86;C:Program Files (x86)Androidandroid-sdkplatform-tools (basically wherever you installed your adb file,)"

i've tried to install but it says it's already there so fails. yet i can't run my flashtool so want to delete and reinstall.
    can you help pls?
    thx

DO NOT! do what this guy says, he replaces all of the environmental variables with the path to platform tools. What you instead would want to do is add a semicolon at the end of your existing path string and then the location of platform-tools. This way you don't remove the other paths, and just add an extra one.

To be completely honest, you should remove this video, clearing your path variables will make your system break.

when you're pasting the path in the Environment Variables make sure you add it at the end of the line, don't erase the entire line with all the other paths or windows won't know where anything else is.

Thank you worked for me 😀

My computer is broken now. Ever since changing the variable path to platform tools (which is located on my desktop) I am greeted with this message. "explorer.exe The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written." I can't log in now.

omfg thank you soooooooooo much. I had been searching for hours!!! I liked your vid. thx again!!

omfg, this is wrong on so many levels … first of all, this is not instalation, for adb you do not install anything, simply download zip bundle is sufficient. Second, the thing you do with path … well, the thing is, path variable is not exclusive for adt, so for other noobs, who blindly follow these instructions, do not replace existing value of path (because there can be more paths to more binaries), but append semicolon as delimiter and path to the end of content stored in path variable. This is good, because when you want to use executables through cmd line, you does not need to specify full path to them, system locate it through paths in path variable … clear enough ?

Thank you ! its works! if you have other windows 8.1 langauge and you don't know where you find the "advanced system settings" so go to run and type this commend : control sysdm.cpl
