In this tutorial, I will show you How to Install Fonts in Windows 10. This is an updated tutorial because with one of the recent Windows 10 updates, the earlier method I showed you doesn’t work anymore. You will find many system fonts that come pre-installed with your Windows 10 operating system. However, there may be times when you need to install additional third-party fonts in Windows 10.

Installing fonts in Windows is easy and I’ll show you step-by-step how to install your third-party fonts. First of all, make sure that the font files are in TTF (True Type Font) or OTF (Open Type Font) format. Secondly, make sure to unzip the font files before installing them. Also, bear in mind that you may have to be logged in as an Administrator before attempting to install the fonts. Once you unzip the font files, right-click on the font file and choose Install. It will automatically install the font in the system Fonts folder.

In order to get to the Fonts folder, you can click the Windows Start button and choose Settings. It will open the Settings dialog box where you can type “Control Panel” and click on the Control Panel option. Once it opens the Control Panel, go to the Appearance & Personalization section and choose Fonts. This will bring you to the Fonts folder where you will find all your system fonts as well as any additional fonts that you may have installed.

An alternate method to install fonts is to just copy and paste the fonts files into this Fonts folder. The font featured in this tutorial is Kenzo font and you can download from the link below. Also, you can check my Window 10 Review as well as other tutorials on my YouTube channel at:

You were doing with the accent reduction until you said 'Vindows'. A+ for effort !

FINALLY someone that explains easily without wasting time

Thanks, got straight to the point with two different options. Worked great for me.

    Thanks. It was really helpful.

    Appreciate it! Very helpful!

Thank you very much. This worked!

  • comment-avatar

Many thanks, very easy to follow. I used the method of copying the fonts into the Windows Font folder without problems.

    I can't thank you know enough 😁

You make such simpler videos than other people. I appreciate it. The hard work put in these tutorials is so pure and from the heart of a sweet techie.
I had watched a really cumbersome tutorial days ago but I still thought that I wouldn't need any help. I installed Minecraft Regular Font and now I can finally play the PC version with it.

Also, I have never seen a video having more than 200 people saying thanks in the comment section. 🙂

I cannot install fonts with windows 10. I watched the YouTube video, read all of the sites and I am “asked” if I am signed in as administrator???? How would I know?

Also, after I unzip the font folder I should be able to right click on TTF file and get the “install” option as a drop down box or the font visually available to install…I do not. I do not see the “font” when I unzip the folder, only the IMAGE of the font is in the folder.

These files are being automatically opened by ACDSee as a TTF file, but I cannot download it/them into the font folder as it is an image, NOT the font; I can only open it as an image in ACDSee. Do you have any ideas?

PS I can install about 1 out of 100/200? Isn’t that crazy? After unzipping those that will install, it has the option to install immediately and I see the “font” as well as the font image as a TTF??? I am using dafont and 1001 fonts to download.

Thank you so much for making this video. I thought it would be easy, but not that easy. You got straight to the point. Thanks again.

I had to drag the files to the desktop and then drag and drop in the font area. Thanks for update.

I can't find folder with fonts

  • comment-avatar

Thanks for the clear instructions!! I was stumped because Windows 10 will not allow the fonts to be copied into the Fonts folder. So the right click and install was the only thing that worked!!!

  • comment-avatar

    yay i love vindows 10

    Хвала брате побратиме !

  • comment-avatar

I did not have an install option when right clicking. I can not copy or paste them either… They are OTF fonts. Help!

  • comment-avatar

Excellent tutorial BUT didnt solve my issue. Installed a ttf file as suggested, appears OK in the right file, appears in the fonts menu in WORD, but when I use it its NOT the font I installed?? Have installed on other computors no problem and no issue at all. Running Windows 10 on an HP. Appreciate any help please.

i need help, i already install the fonts, i mean i have this new computer with windos 10 i have been using another computer i always did the same procedure, but with this one whenever i want to use the font i cant!!! it appears in word and power point but when i click on it it doesnt work…. i dont know what to do any more…

  • comment-avatar

Nice tutorial. I couldn't find some of these steps through your instructions directly, but those using a Windows 10 version and it doesn't appear, you can just right click and search personalization. Great otherwise.

  • comment-avatar

When I do this, my screen says to drag the file to this * * box. When I do I get a red prohibitive circle and it will not allow me. No clue why.

  • comment-avatar

NONE of these options are working. "Install" isn't an option. I can't "drag and drop" or
"cut and paste". These are fonts I had on my old computer (ALSO Windows 10). I am extremely frustrated with Microsoft right now.

  • comment-avatar

Nothing Worked! I downloaded and installed my font! Why isn't it there???!!!!! Thumbs down for not being helpful.

  • comment-avatar

This is a great tutorial. Easy to follow and it got the job done. THANK YOU so much!
