Want to root your Android smartphone or tablet?  Want to install TWRP recovery and enjoy loads of custom ROMs available today for your Android device?  Well, if so, in this tutorial I show you how to do exactly that starting with unlocking the bootloader.  Before you can install TWRP recovery or install custom ROMs on your Android device, you will have to unlock the bootloader in most cases.

Android devices guaranteed to work on:

– Google devices like any Google Nexus or Pixel devices including Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and any other Google devices are supported.
– All OnePlus devices are supported including OnePlus One, OnePlus Two, OnePlus 3/3T, OnePlus 5/5T, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T.
– Any other generic Android devices most likely use this bootloader unlock method such as budget Android smartphones, tablets, or no-brand Android devices.

For all devices supported/not supported by this bootloader unlock method, please check my website here:

is rooting or unlocking the boot-loader safely possible with Verizons moto z2 play? (XT1710-02) … i was able to use it on T-mobiles network with there sim without any issues … i do know they planning on releasing 9.0 pie eventually when they get around to this area so it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go to another ROM like linageOS I'm guessing … any thoughts on any of this?

I've got a problem: after a failed root, I suppose, the OEM button can't be activate. The reason is when I decide to reboot my phone, and after all the startup, the button stay inactivated.

Not sure if you know much about an app called (PayJoy) but if you do, do you know of some way of getting that app off a phone early without paying off the phone? It acts as an administrator application so you cannot do a factory reset and get rid of the app. You also cannot boot into safe mode in order to get rid of the application So those 2 options are off the table.

Apparently this method does not work for phones made by Coolpad, ZTE Z855 Calbee/Avid, Samsung Galaxy Grand prime+ or even a moto E5 Cruise. Very unfortunate since those are the only phones that I have that I can try this on. As far as I can tell everything works perfectly well until it gets to the last unlock command which apparently is not recognized by any of my devices. Well that sucks
