Hope these don't suck. Just bought 6 of the Patriot Burst to populate two of my computers. Bought 2 each of 3 different sizes to be my boot, misc and gaming drives. I don't really care about speed, I just don't want to have drive failures or data loss. They were on sale at Newegg which made them seem like a good value.

I just bought Patriot Burst just for games and I regret it. It's fast but it will constantly freeze 10-15sec during gaming especially during heavy load. Windows report error ID 129 and 153 when it became unresponsive. Stay away from this brand if you want SSD for gaming. It's only good for light usage.

From my studies, SSD have a drawback – this is the cells only have so many writes and then they will no long work. This is why I suggest that you have a hybrid drive or separate – 1 SDD and + hard drive. Placing the OS on the SSD is one of the first task. The next generation are not SSD.

I have patriot burst 480 gig that I paid $45 for, it boots windows at a good speed of around 13 seconds, games also load at a satisfactory pace. Ark is hellacious with long load screens and this cuts the loading time down by 70%. Obviously isn't as good as an 860 EVO, but it does it's job well at a value price.

i did some test with atto and same config and mine shows 338mb/s max.the ssd is on drive C: and my win10 on it.is it because of it?

Some companies are super honest about their products, pretty much all SSD/NAND makers test a lot of sample's and like to give official numbers where even the lowest quality SSD's in a batch will hit. Kinda like Nvidia (not that they are super honest) but they rate their cards pretty conservatively just so all card hit at least the listed core clock. I think the 980ti is rated as 1,200-1,295mhz but I've yet to see a single card not capable of hitting 1,450mhz once over clocked. In all reality while not a huge difference it is still a difference none the less when you consider even "over clocking" graphics card typically only go about 15-50mhz above Nvidia's listed frequency.

im trying to get an ssd for 20 dollars i just don't know which one to get

I noticed that the Patriot Burst 960GB ssd has a Mean Time Between Failures of 2,000,000 hours and a Total Bytes Written to be set at 835TB.
That's a lot more than most other ssd's in those price segment. So is this for real, can this ssd really handle up to 835TB of data without issues?

    Super recenzija!

I got myself Patriot Burst 480GB and to be honest it is kinda disappointing because my old Kingston v300 feels snappier although benchmarks that I did say otherwise. Also difference is definitely noticeable when compared to Samsung 850 basic.
