Sony Ericsson X8 bootloader unlock step by step guide. Please follow the guide EXACTLY as on the video, or it may cause you hardbrick.

If you got “adb.exe not recognized as internal or external command” error, then do this:

If you’re using Win7: 1) Right click on computer, properties 2) Advanced System Settings (in the left column) 3) Environment Variables button 4) In the “System Variables” part of the screen, serch for the variable: “Path” and double click on it. 5) put a “;” to the end of the line (if there is no “;” there) then write the exact path where your adb.exe is, like: C:Program FilesAndroid You DON’T have to write like this: C:Program FilesAndroidadb.exe

I’m not responsible in any damage you may cause to your device.

Unfortunately unlocking bootloader is not equal with (not meant to) unlocking SIM-lock. As I know on X8 you can only unlock sim by payment methods, thus I don't know how secure them are. You'd better bring your phone to a local phone-repair shop, they'll definetly can unlock SIMlock (it shouldn't be too expensive.

You have to add the listed adb.exe to system variables. Just google "adding system variables" then you'll find your answer.

Az a baj, hogy nincs már meg a vágóprojekt, sem pedig a nyersanyag, így újra fel kéne vennem, össze kéne vágnom, feliratoznom kéne, és sajnos nincs mostanában ennyi időm.

Yup, but it's not about rooting, it's about bootloader unlocking. Way different things 😉

No, it's not. Don't even try. It has been explained clearly in the video…

Yes, I think, but I cannot guarantee the success, and I am not responsible if you brick your device. It is below 1W29, so the success rate is near 90%. Note that the success can not be 100% guaranteed, so be careful, and think twice before you do it.

I have 11W36 and rooted it with SuperOneClick, no problem at all

  • comment-avatar

You MUST unlock your bootloader to install(flash) custom kernel. Locked bootloader only supports stock kernel. Since your code is 11w51 you cannot unlock your bootloader.

  • comment-avatar

Take a look at the sticker under the battery. If it is belowe 11w29 you can unlock(there is an always possibility of brick :P) but if it is 11w29+ you can hard brick your device! Although no matter which your bootloader is (less than 11w29 or more than 11w29) it can be unlocked with setool2 but you'll have to pay someone to do that for you.
