Farm Manager 2018 is back and we invest (finally) in wind power! Go Eco Farm! The wind turbines are in place and, with our newfound wealth from the cow meat, we place more than a couple…

We construct more greenhouses for more profitable crops, and also to give some of our staff something to do other than sitting around watching television.

Our red peppers prove to be quite profitable but we do have doubts about the usefulness of the rabbits, chickens and turkeys…

Oh, and one of the chickens escapes! Catch that chicken! NOW!

NOTE: A key to the game was given to me by the Developers.

Manage your own farm in the game Farm Manager 2018! To expand your farm business, produce cheap and sell your products in high prices. Control the process of land cultivation, employ the best staff, buy the most appropriate farm equipment, raise livestock and process the harvested crops. Various camera modes allow you to enter into a strategic view as well as to look at the world through the eyes of the employee. Respond to the changing weather and seasons. Create a greenhouse to sell crops in early spring. Buy new and used, special agricultural machinery, to quickly collect and sell crops before their expiration date. Optimize costs and employ seasonal workers only at the harvest time. Accept challenges from neighbors to prove who is the best farmer in the area.

I know you eventually figure it out, but I do feel bad for you every time you set your animals for slaughter and believe you're telling the slaughterhouse to pick up so-many animals, when you're really saying 'leave this many behind'.
    – Yes, rabbits breed on their own… as a matter of fact, you have to keep the males separate from the females so that you have the females breeding when you want them to, rather than when the males want to. Generally you would butcher most of the males and keep most of the females,.
    – For chickens on small farms, you have one rooster who breeds the females. I'm not sure what happens with ducks and turkeys, but I imagine it's similar to chickens.
    – big farming uses insemination for cattle more than small farming does.

Chicken meat in the chicken coop… is that meant as a warning to the others? what kind of Silence of the Chickens coop are they running over there? I think the person might have snapped

Edit: Chicken manages to escape the chicken coop of terror, put her right back inside…

You should get the cooling warehouse.

The auto fill button will select your available workers. I believe it allows you to confirm the choice too. Please press it at least once. Driving me mad lol. I’m enjoying your series by the way. Cheers.

Your question about rabbits, they wouldn't necessarily just breed uncontrollably. With a real rabbit farm, you have separate the females from the males (bucks) because they don't get along too well in the enclosed space. You would have to take the female to the buck for a period of time then transfer her back to her own cage and wait to see if she births any kits.

the 'take above' on the cows means take any animals above the amount you put in so they took all the cows from the one 'cow house?' because you set it to take any amount over 0. You basically told it to leave zero

Every time I look at this, I get the Thomas Dolby song "Wind Power" stuck in my head. Thanks…😂

I'm glad you got wind turbines if you brought 5 they would bring you in total of 50k per month and they don't need people and they don't need to be messed with once you got them down. Expensive too buy 1 though at 60k but it's worth it.

I can't wait for the next episode, great series!

Great episode! I enjoyed watching it.. And now back to my own Farm Manager…

    "Cow seeds" LOL!

Yeah, I don't think their English proofreader is fluent in English, some of it leaves you wondering… "What!?"

I know you know what they meant, but I like the comments you make following the natural conclusion of the 'lost in translation,' errors.

I don't know if you've read my post on the Forums, but freezing doesn't increase it's price like a regular production facility… it's mainly for when the fresh fruit price bottoms out… and to extend it's life for a few months, so you can watch the frozen price hopefully goes up. But the fact of the matter is, people pay the premium price on the Fresh Fruit. ie. Unless you're going to watch the market like a hawk with fresh and frozen, you're only going to operate it at a loss.

So, the next one you'll be back, and be able to integrate everyone's advice? Cool, cool. You can increase the auto-trade frequency, but you have to upgrade the house.

67 degrees in August, though. Not here, most definately not here.

It makes sense with the cattle also, that way you don't have to care for a bull that doesn't produce anything but one… while maximizing how many dairy cattle you have… but there's a reason the phrase, "breed like rabbits," exists. And there's a reason why there's always a rooster on a farm, besides being the morning alarm clock.

Oh man, we missed a perfectly good joke about a chicken crossing the road!

On another note, I would suggest making two of the smallest fields possible (10mx10m is the smallest?) and plant them with bucket and colza. Because they're so small, your permanent employees can work those fields with little effort. The crop won't actually sell that well, so no need for concern about volume of the crop.

how many more pre recorded episodes are there?

  • comment-avatar

If you want to make a ton of money…Raspberries.. I had 1 field bring in 90k

  • comment-avatar

take above,….take above,…..TAKE ABOOOVE!!! Sweet Bejeezus man!!! 🙂 you're telling them to butcher all your animal stock

  • comment-avatar

in the animal menu where it says "Take Above" and you set it to 1, your telling the game to take all but 1 animal

  • comment-avatar

    "Man Bird" – hahaha

  • comment-avatar

You are correct in thinking that rabbits are famous – perhaps even infamous – for their ability to reproduce. Perhaps their inability to do so in this game is a nod to Stardew Valley (in which rabbits are the only animal you can't breed)?

Edit: I think there's something wrong with the wind turbines too. While it's very nice for you that they're generating thousands of farmsbucks every month, directly above that number it clearly says they should only be generating 9 farmbucks of power each month (unless I've completely misunderstood something else … again).
I've misunderstood something else … again.

Does this game have a workshop?

I have two muck spreaders stuck (glitched) inside my manure pits and can not shift them not even with the teleport button.
in fact the bugs are building up so fast i have had to stop playing until patches work there magic (i hope).
real shame i love this game.
