guys, just want to ask is this safe? i mean we need to disable something on the setting of the computer before we proceed right? so by doing that is that an easy way for anyone who wants to stole information to steal any on my computer?

Thank you for this but I have a question. What would happen if I update the driver software with something different? For example I use a Samsung but I clicked HTC Android interface instead.

  • comment-avatar

it says : windows found driver for your software but encountered an error while attempting to install it. what should i do now?…

+ GreyWolfTech Dude this worked like a charm, granted i had to look deep into the comment section to find out i needed to install fastboot.reg on my laptop. Definitely subbed and liked. I do have one question though. I am trying to flash a firmware to fix my wifi issues im having with a custom rom. In the midst of this, I have to have the firmware stored in the adb directory in order for "fastboot zip (name of file).zip" command line to work. I cannot find this "directory". If there is anyway you can respond asap at your earliest convenience on where that is located, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thanks for the video. I had trouble with the HTC sync driver for my adb. And "adb setup" didn't do anything good for me either.

  • comment-avatar

hi there, thanks for your video it works as you said, but when i go to the bootloader–>fastboot and connect it to my computer, windows can't recognize the device, i tried tons of websites and drivers, but no nothing happens! it says it's an unknown usb and my not work properly, so after fastboot or adb commands i get "waiting for device" and that's it. my phone is HTC one S. my windows is 8.1 (also tried in win7 in another pc but also couldn't recognize it).

Hi, I'm not able to install your minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup on my windows 8.1 HP laptop. In the properties of this setup file, there's no 'unblock' option as you showed in the video. When I try to install directly, I get this error:
    "ShellExecuteEx failed; code 8235.
A referral was returned from the server"
    What should I do?

When I select the naked driver it says "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64 based systems" – so frustrating, same thing trying multiple approached.
